In 2015, fed up with corporate life, Brian Burke set out to do what he loved and what he did best – brewing beer. An accomplished 25-year homebrewer, Brian quit his job, sold his house and went to brewing school to hone his craft at the prestigious Seibel Institute in Chicago and the Doemens Academy in Munich. After a few stints with local Boston breweries and testing and retesting his own recipes at home until they met his exacting standards, Brian knew he was ready to open his own brewery. He founded his initial brewery in Hanover, MA, on Boston’s South Shore. After a wonderful 5-year run, the brewery relocated to West Newton, Ma in early 2023.
With a focus on traditional European and American style ales, the heart of the Burke’s experience is its taproom, a community gathering space where friends and those soon to be friends come together to enjoy conversations and good times.
